DevOps and video streaming

Containerized the multi-service application with multi-stage Docker builds across a seven-container architecture, and implemented live video streaming via MediaMTX supporting RTSP, WebRTC, and HLS.

The problem

Parking facility management requires correlating authorized vehicles, cameras, and gate movement telemetry in real time.

The solution

Laravel and React with Inertia link vehicle administration to Hikvision cameras. The system synchronizes license plate whitelists and tracks occupancy and gate events.

Cameras recognize license plates and connect via Hikvision ISAPI. Whitelisted vehicles are associated with designated parking lots.

Administration & Sync

The backend manages owners, vehicles, parking zones, and cameras, syncing plate whitelists and monitoring real-time entry and exit events.

Database & Deployment

MySQL handles application persistence. Multi-stage Docker builds orchestrate a seven-container production stack with separated worker processes.

Dashboard & Video Streaming

The dashboard displays parking occupancy and traffic telemetry. MediaMTX delivers video streaming across RTSP, WebRTC, and HLS protocols.
