inventarioIT

IT infrastructure inventory, from the client to the physical device.

ManagementCompleted project

IT asset management application linking clients, office branches, and hardware devices. Unifies hardware inventory, IP addresses, network topology, and support tickets in a single workspace.

My contribution

Full-stack team development

Participated in full-stack development within an engineering team using Git flow, code reviews, and Conventional Commits. Implemented automated testing with Pest and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions on a self-hosted runner.

The problem

Maintaining an IT inventory requires knowing which assets belong to each client, their physical locations, connections, and IP assignments, without losing audit history or incident logs.

The solution

Laravel backend with PostgreSQL, React, and Inertia. The client-branch-device hierarchy links directly with IP Address Management (IPAM) and network topology visualizers. Excel import and PDF/Excel export tools streamline inventory maintenance.

From physical hardware to connected inventory

Devices are organized by client and linked to physical branches. That structure unites hardware assets with IP addresses, network topology, and support tickets.

  1. ClientOrganization & hardware assets
  2. Branches & locationsPhysical location assignments
  3. DevicesType · status · custom attributes
Lines represent asset relationships and modules; they do not depict real client network traffic or actual network topology.
  1. Organize device inventory

    Clients · branches · devices

Hardware assets are mapped to their respective client and physical location. Device types and configurable fields model hardware specifications.

  2. Connect hardware to network

    Laravel · IPAM · topology

Network interfaces, switch connections, and IP assignments supply networking context. Visual topology maps clarify device relationships.

  3. Maintain audit trail

Permissions · tickets · audit logs

Role-based permissions constrain available actions. Incident tickets and historical change logs support ongoing IT infrastructure maintenance.

  4. Import and export data

Excel · PDF · background jobs

Bulk imports ingest existing spreadsheets into the database. Background workers compile PDF asset sheets and Excel reports for stakeholders.

Contextualized inventory

Every asset is viewed alongside its branch location, IP address, switch port connections, and maintenance history.

Exportable reporting

Pre-formatted exports allow delivering complete client inventories and audit reports without manual assembly.

Core capabilities

  • Client, branch, and device inventory with custom attributes.
  • IP subnet prefix and IP address assignment management (IPAM).
  • Network topology diagrams and connection mapping.
  • Excel bulk import and PDF/Excel reporting exports.
  • Incident tracking, permissions, and complete change audit logs.

How it works

Clients, office branches, and hardware devices share a unified structure linking inventory with networking.

Select a part of the architecture map to learn about its role.

Clients, Branches & Hardware

Information is organized hierarchically by client, branch, and device, with custom fields. Bulk Excel import streamlines onboarding existing hardware.

Infrastructure Engine

The backend links hardware, physical connections, and IP subnets. IPAM modules track address allocations while ticket logs provide full audit trails.

Data & Processing

PostgreSQL stores asset records and Redis handles asynchronous queues. Granular permissions ensure engineers only access authorized client tenants.

Topology & Reporting

The web app visualizes network topologies and hardware relationships. Export tools generate professional PDF and Excel reports for clients.
